Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out how you may and may not use PardEats, including the PardEats website, the mobile app, and the in-app AI assistant (together, the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Because the Service includes an AI assistant, this Policy also covers how that assistant may be used. If you break this Policy, we may limit, suspend, or end your access.

General rules

When you use the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that breaks the rules of Lafayette College.
• Provide false or misleading information, or impersonate or misrepresent your connection to any person or organization.
• Access, or try to access, another person's account, or any data or part of the Service you are not authorized to reach.
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or probe the Service, or try to get around any security measure, usage limit, or access control.
• Copy, scrape, harvest, or resell the Service or its content, or use automated tools to access it beyond normal personal use.
• Upload anything harmful, such as malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Use Friends or any other feature to harass, threaten, stalk, or harm another person, or to share someone else's information without their consent.

Using the in-app AI assistant

The in-app assistant is there to give general, personal guidance about eating, training, and recovery. It generates answers automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. When you use it, you agree to the following.

• Personal, lawful use only. Use the assistant for your own personal wellness questions, not for commercial purposes or on behalf of others.
• Not a professional. Do not treat its answers as medical, dietetic, legal, or other professional advice, and do not rely on it for decisions that need a qualified professional. Confirm anything important.
• No harmful or abusive prompts. Do not use the assistant to create or seek content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, self-harm promoting, dangerous, or that encourages disordered eating or unsafe weight practices.
• No manipulation of the assistant. Do not attempt to bypass, disable, or trick its safety limits, extract its underlying instructions, or make it behave outside its intended purpose.
• No misuse of others' data. Do not enter another person's personal or sensitive information into the assistant.
• No overloading. Do not send automated, bulk, or excessive requests. Usage limits may apply so the Service stays available for everyone.
• You are responsible for what you do with the output. You decide what to log, follow, or act on.

Reporting misuse

If you see behavior that breaks this Policy, or content that concerns you, please tell us at info@pardeats.com so we can look into it.

Consequences

If we reasonably believe you have broken this Policy, we may remove content, limit or suspend features, or end your access to the Service, with or without notice, depending on the seriousness of the issue. We may also take any step required to comply with the law or to protect people or the Service.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service develops. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, make you aware before it takes effect.
